Structural Composition

The equipment consists of key components. The main parts are thrust plate, main girders, pressure plate, manual plate pulling system, machine base and electric control cabinet. Filter plates and filter frames are arranged in an alternating way. Filter cloth is clamped between each plate and frame. All these parts form closed filter chambers together. The filter chambers are the core for solid-liquid separation.

Working Principle

It follows a clear and simple working cycle. First, the compaction device presses the filter plates and frames tightly. It forms sealed filter chambers in this way. Second, the feed pump injects the suspension into the filter chambers with pressure. The liquid part passes through the filter cloth. It becomes filtrate after passing the cloth. The filtrate flows along the grooves on the filter plates. It then moves to the corner channels of the plates and frames and is discharged out. Solid particles in the suspension are blocked by the filter cloth. They accumulate on the cloth and form filter cakes. After the filtration step, workers can do washing and air drying operations if needed. Finally, the filter press is opened. The filter cakes are removed. The filter cloth is cleaned thoroughly. Then the equipment starts the next working cycle.

It can even reach a higher pressure for special demands. It has high filtration precision. The precision can be as low as several microns. The filter cakes it produces have low moisture content. Compaction Modes

It has three compaction modes to choose from. It meets different application needs and site conditions. Manual compaction: It uses a screw jack to push the pressure plate. It is suitable for small-scale and low-frequency use scenarios. Mechanical compaction: An electric motor with a reduction gearbox drives the pressure plate. It provides stable and moderate compaction force. Hydraulic compaction: A hydraulic station drives the pressure plate through hydraulic cylinder components. It has large compaction force and high automation level.
